One act play festival 2010

Posted by Warwickshire act on Monday, February 15, 2010 Under: Festivals
The bi-annual Festival will take place this summer. As always we are looking for as many groups as possible to get involved, so we can put on a good series of entertaining shows.

Dates - 24, 25, 26 June 2010

Venue & Time Barford Village Hall 7.30 pm

Play duration Between 20 and 40 minutes

Entry fee £10 per entry (you can put in more than one entry)

Licences and any other costs for props, costumes etc., will be at your society’s expense. There will be no adjudication, the intention is to put on entertainment for paying audiences that they will find interesting and enjoyable. It is an opportunity to give new actors or directors a chance to ‘have a go’ in a short one act play as a first step, before embarking on a full length play. It is also a chance to mingle with other groups and get to know each other, gain ideas and support each other.

What you need to do and by when

  • Confirm your interest/commitment by 10 April 2010
  • Confirm your entry by 10 May using the Entry Form (available from your rep) and send your entry fee at this point. This is important as we need to plan and print the programme.
  • You will need to send at least one representative to Barford on Sunday 20 June 2010 to confirm any lighting/sound and check out communal props etc. (Time to be confirmed)
  • Please sell tickets within your society and confirm numbers for each night

Prices: £3 per night, payable on the door (cast free entry for performance night only)

Kindly hosted by Barford Drama Group.
